Ruth M. Thress (December 15, 1929 – March 11, 2015)

Ruth M. Thress, 85, of Zanesville passed away Wednesday March 11, 2015 at Genesis Good Samaritan Hospital Emergency Room.
She was born December 15, 1929 in Columbus the daughter of the late Herman and Florence Dearstine Harsch. She was former owner of the Cornucopia and a member of the VFW and Trinity Evangelical Lutheran Church. Ruth supported her husband, John, in College, his military life and business life. She enjoyed cooking, planting and arranging flowers and interaction with her pets.
Ruth was loved by everyone she came in contact with and we are all blessed with her friendship. She was a role model not easily surpassed. To those who knew her as a loving wife, mother, close friend and devout Lutheran she will be sadly missed.
Surviving Ruth is her husband of 62 years John E. Thress, son: John Thress (Penny Havens) of Zanesville and sisters-in-law: Mary Ann (Bill) Lentz and Alice (Tom) Bryan both of Zanesville and several nieces and nephews.
Memorial services for Ruth will be held at 11:00 AM Thursday March 19th at the Trinity Evangelical Lutheran Church. The Bryan & Hardwick Funeral Home 2318 Maple Ave is assisting the Thress family.
