Salsa distributor at the Zanesville Farmers Market

ZANESVILLE, Ohio-  A local distributor of Jose Madrid has been coming to the Zanesville Farmers Market for the past five years.

Dee Robertson said the farmers market allows her to share with others the salsa she herself enjoys. She said seeing others enjoy it as well, brings a smile to her face.

“(The company) has been around since 1989,” said Robertson. “I’m just promoting it for people to try and to sell it.”

There are many different flavors of salsa ranging from mild to quite spicy.

“I have different categories,” said Robertson. “They go the originals, the fruits, and the specials. We have Verde as well. This is our super hot. It’s a Verde.”

Robertson said she is the only one she knows of that sells them for $5. Ordinarily, a jar cost $6.
