Salt Fork Arts and Crafts Festival opens for the weekend

CAMBRIDGE, OH- The 54th annual Salt Fork Arts and Crafts Festival is bringing creativity and craftsmanship to life at Cambridge City Park this weekend.
As one of Ohio’s longest running arts and crafts festival, the juried event features high quality art across a wide variety of mediums, including painting, pottery, metalwork, woodwork, food, clothing, and more.
“Giving people a chance to see what fine art looks like, and better craftsmanship looks like, we try to have a lot of things for the kids to inspire them, particularly our student art tent, we have over 500 pieces of local school’s artwork from students from K through 12, so that’s inspiring and we hope to encourage them to follow an arts program of some kind,” said Salt Fork Arts and Crafts Festival, Brenda Taylor.
One of this year’s standout attractions is the Glass Blowing Demonstrations happening Sunday thanks to the sponsorship from Guernsey Power Station. Attendees can watch live demonstrations and even participate in a 15 minute one on one class to create their own glass blown flower or ball. Tickets can be reserved by calling the number at the bottom of the Salt Fork Festival website.
“It’s a very family friendly oriented event, and it’s a generational thing, and one of my fondest memories is when myself, my daughter, my granddaughter, and great granddaughter came through looking at things and we all enjoyed it, so it’s something for people of all ages,” said Taylor.
The Salt Fork Arts and Crafts Festival will be open again Saturday from 10 a.m. until 6 p.m. and Sunday from 10 a.m. until 4 p.m. For more information on the festival and full event schedule you can visit SaltForkFestival.org.
