Salt Fork Arts and Crafts Festival this Weekend

ZANESVILLE, Ohio – Arts and crafts enthusiasts get ready for a weekend full of sight seeing, craft classes, musical entertainment, and so much more.
The 48 Annual Salt Fork Arts and Crafts Festival is this Friday August 11, 2017 through Sunday August 13, 2017. Festival Director Carol Wilcox-Jones said there will be various art mediums represented during the festival in the Cambridge City Park.
“Our bylaws suggest that we are very much into education, cultural enrichment, and up lifting of the community,” Jones said. “So we put the spotlight on local talent, we bring in regional talent, and sometimes even national talent. So that we can commingle these experiences.”
Over 90 craftsmen and artist participate. So people may see wood work, ceramics, painting, fiber art, jewelry, metal work, photography and even a classic car show for cars hand crafted from the early 1900’s until the 1940’s.
“We try to make it inspirational and at the same time we want to reward those who are really creative and are doing well,” Jones said. “We hope this will be a way to keep the arts alive in the community and so people, like I said they come from everywhere it’s not just for the Cambridge Guernsey County area. People come from everywhere.”
Admissions and parking is free. The festival will kick off on Friday August 11, 2017 with a ribbon cutting at 3:00 P.M.
