Sammy the Beagle Needs a Forever Home

The Animal Shelter’s “Pet of the Week” would make the perfect addition to any family.

Sammy has been at the shelter since June, and Executive Director, Jody Murray, said he’s ready for companionship. The 3-year-old beagle mix is a playful little pup who will cuddle up to your feet. He is up-to-date on shots and his adoption fee is just $20.

“He’s very good with cats, he’s very good with dogs, just a very friendly dog, you know he’s not a real big dog, so he’s a dog that if you wanted something to be inside, lay on your lap, those kind of things, he would be great for that,” Murray said.

With Labor Day just around the corner, the Animal Shelter is holding a special adoption event, beginning September 4.

“All of our cats are going to be $10, we are still having a lot cats, still a lot of demand, so we want to make adopting cats very affordable, so it’s $10, again they’ll already be spayed and neutered, up-to-date on all their shots, and any cat we have during that time will be available for adoption,” Murray said.

Also, as part of the event, all dogs will be available for a reduced adoption fee through September 11.
