Santa Claus Returns to Colony Square Mall for Holiday Visits
ZANESVILLE, OH – It’s beginning to look, and sound, a lot like Christmas inside the Colony Square Mall. Santa Claus has officially arrived in Zanesville, bringing with him a season of wishes, wonder, and a little holiday magic.
From now through Christmas Eve, the big man in red is setting up shop to meet children, hear their wishes, and share a little holiday magic. For some, this moment is a yearly tradition. For others, it’s a magical first. But for all, it’s a reminder that this time of year brings something you can’t wrap, measure, or buy.
WHIZ’s Shylin Costello asked “Santa Claus, can you tell me what makes this time of year so magical to you?”
“For me personally, it’s got to be the smiles on the children’s faces. When they come by, and they smile, the whole day lightens up. It’s like a sunrise every single time.” Santa Claus said.
And if you look closely, there’s something happening beyond the photos and the presents. It’s the sparkle of a child’s eye and the way strangers’ wave as they walk by. It’s that quiet kind of magic only December can bring.
“Most of the time, the children are very joyful as they are approaching Santa. Just seeing the joy and excitement on their faces, and Santa reciprocating that, it’s kind of like a hug. So, it’s really exciting. They can expect to always feel very welcome and to have a good time.” Jessica Brailer, the General Manager of the Colony Square Mall, said.
Sometimes, the realest things in life aren’t the things we see with our eyes, but the ones we feel in our hearts.
Santa will be at the Colony Square Mall every day through Christmas Eve. For visit times and additional information, check out the Colony Square Mall website or the link below.
