Santa Highlights Miracle on Main Street

The Miracle on Main Street Lighting Ceremony took place Wednesday evening in downtown Zanesville. The event kicked off with the Presentation of Colors by members of the American Legion Post 29 while The Star Spangled Banner was played by the Zanesville High School Blue Knights. The opening prayer was read by Muskingum County Commissioner Mollie Crooks. Zanesville Mayor Jeff Tilton spoke to the crowd and thanked city and county employees who made the event possible. During the 30 minute event the crowd was entertained by the Friendship 7 Sweet Adelines and the Broadway Babies. Then the Blue Knights played Jingle Bells as Santa arrived on a Zanesville Fire truck. Officials say it was biggest crowd in the 24 years of the event.
