Santa is coming to Zanesville

The final preparations are being made to welcome Santa back to the Colony Square Mall.

Starting this Saturday kids can get out to the mall and share their wish lists with Father Christmas. Marketing and Business Development Coordinator at the mall, Kevin Pinson said Santa will be arriving around 8:00 a.m. Saturday morning.

"The season’s right around the corner," Pinson said. "Santa will arrive this Saturday. He starts with breakfast and he’s bringing his buddies Rudolph and Frosty at Garfield’s from 8:00 to 9:30 so parents can bring their kids out for that. Then he’ll take a short break, and at 10 o’clock we’ll have his arrival parade."

The parade will circle the outside of the mall and Pinson says the best viewing area is in front of the mall. Immediately following the parade Santa will take his seat in the mall and listen to kids wish lists and pictures with them. Pinson said they like to bring Santa in with a bang.

"The season’s great. It’s the time of year where we can all be a kid again, so putting the Santa set together kind of gets us in the spirit which is what we’re doing this morning, so we’re ready for christmas," Pinson said.
