Sara A. Greenwood (January 15, 1932 – July 31, 2015)

ZANESVILLE
Sara A. Greenwood, 83, of Zanesville entered into her eternal rest on Friday, July 31, 2015 at Willow Haven Nursing Home. She was born January 15, 1932 in Findlay, OH, the daughter of the late Paul E. and Rita B. McGarvey Grose. She worked for Marathon Oil after college until she met and married her husband Robert Greenwood. Sara was a member of Simpson Methodist Church in Canton, OH and was active with the United Methodist Women, Canton Women’s Club and served as President of the Jr. Women’s Club and Garden Club. Throughout her life she was an avid gardener and lover of pets, especially their Sheltie dogs. Her most beloved place on earth was Higgins Lake Michigan where many wonderful memories were made with family and friends over the years.
In addition to her husband she is survived by one son Paul W. Greenwood of Canton, OH and one daughter Jane Phillips of Zanesville, OH; six grandchildren Sara Elaine Phillips, Kristin Michelle Smith, Michael Paul Phillips, Grace, Erin and Gretchen Greenwood and two great grandchildren.

Arrangements have been entrusted to THE SNOUFFER FUNERAL HOME, 1150 WEST MILITARY ROAD ZANESVILLE. Private family services will be held at a later date.
