Sara Kathryn Bowlby (January 24, 1924 – March 28, 2015)

ZANESVILLE
Sara Kathryn Bowlby,90 of Zanesville, died peacefully with her family at her side on March 28, 2015 at Genesis Hospice Morrison House. She was born in Zanesville on September 24, 1924 a daughter of the late Vernon and Marian Ray. Sara was retired from Zanesville High School as the school Librarian; was a member of Pleasant Grove United Methodist Church and enjoyed playing bingo at the nursing home and doing puzzles with her grandsons and also loved to cook and read.
She is survived by her daughter Lisa (David) Burkhart of Zanesville; two grandsons Ryan and Cory Burkhart and one sister Beverly Ray of Zanesville.
In addition to her parents she was preceded in death by her husband Gerald Bowlby who died March 5, 1981.
Calling hours will be held 6-8pm on Wednesday April 1, 2015 at THE SNOUFFER FUNERAL HOME, 1150 WEST MILITARY ROAD, ZANESVILLE. Funeral services will be held at 2:30pm Thursday, April 2, 2015 in the Snouffer Chapel with Rev. Linda Morrow officiating. Burial will follow in Zanesville Memorial Park Cemetery.
