Saturday House Fire Sends One to the Hospital
The City of Zanesville Fire Department is investigating the cause of a Saturday house fire.
The fire at 621 Taylor Street broke out around 1:50am. Fire Chief Jeff Bell said when the first fire engine arrived they found a large amount of smoke and fire coming from all sides and every floor of the home. The only occupant of the home was outside at the time of arrival.
Chief Bell said crews assisted the occupant and started the fire extinguishment process. The occupant of the home was taken to Genesis Healthcare System. Crews cleared the scene just before 5am.
The Zanesville Fire Department was assisted by Zanesville Police, Genesis Community Ambulance, Falls Township Fire Department and AEP.
