Saunders Machine Works Hosts its 2nd Open House

Nearly 400 people from across the world came to Zanesville this weekend to for an ‘Open House’ at Saunders Machine Works.
In 2006 Saunders Machine Works started a YouTube channel based on how to use CNC metal machines and make metal parts. Years later that channel grew and Saturday they hosted their 2nd annual ‘Open House.’
“It’s incredible, our channel has really grown and it’s strange because we spend all of our time making videos a lot of times right here just looking at a camera but, you take for granted there’s people from all over the country and the world that watch and enjoy these so it’s really cool. We’re starting to see folks from the internet are getting together in real life and in person and in this case they get to see some of the machines, software and parts that we’ve made and touch them and see them,” said John Saunders, Owner of Saunders Machine Works.
Saunders said during the ‘Open House’ the guest learned about different software they use to control the machines.
“We got folks from Autodesks that are doing training sessions on using the software that we use to control the machines we use are from a company called ‘Tormach’ who is here and is donating to the raffle, showing how their CNC milling machines work for folks that run tapping arms, folks that make the power equipment that you use whether you’re in a garage shop, big shop or a small shop,” said Saunders.
