ZANESVILLE, OH – If you’re looking for a fun and spooky way to give back this Halloween season, the Colony Square Mall is the place to be.

The mall is teaming up with the Muskingum County Hunger Network for the annual Say Boo to Hunger event, happening October 30th from 5:30 to 7 p.m. Families are invited to wear their favorite costumes, trick-or-treat through the mall, and help make a difference by bringing donations of non-perishable food items.

“Non-perishable food items will be collected at the tables we’ll have set up near the 146 restaurant. Just come in from the entrance, bring those non-perishable food items, and you’ll be entered to win prizes.” Colony Square Mall General Manager, Jessica Brailer said.

Trick-or-treating will take place throughout the entire mall, giving kids a safe and exciting way to fill their bags with candy while showing off their favorite costumes. The event is open to all ages, so whether you’re a ghost, a princess, or your favorite movie character, you’re welcome to join in on the spooky fun.

“We encourage people to come in through whatever entrance they feel most comfortable wearing your best costume. It’s for all ages and it’s a lot of fun. We’ll have a DJ set up in the food court too. Trick-or-treating will be for an hour and a half, spread out throughout the whole mall. We have some outside businesses joining us too.” Brailer said.

Food donations will go directly to the Muskingum County Hunger Network to help local families in need. For more details on Say Boo to Hunger, visit the Colony Square Mall’s website.
