Scholarship Raffle and Watch Party Saturday

The Ohio State University Alumni Club of Muskingum County is hosting a watch party Saturday.

The watch party will be at The Barn on Linden Avenue starting at noon.Not only will the club have a watch party to enjoy the Ohio State vs. Maryland game, but it is raffling off items to raise money for its scholarship fund.

Terry Kopchak who is the president of the OSU Alumni Club of Muskingum County said anyone is welcome to come.

"We just have it mainly to serve the community, not just our membership, but it’s open to anybody that wants to come down and cheer on the buckeyes is certainly welcome to," Kopchak said.

Kopchak added that many items will be raffled off including autographed items from Urban Meyer, Archie Griffin and Braxton Miller. All of the items were donated to the club, so 100 percent of money raised will go directly into the scholarship fund.

"We have no expense in our items, but we’ve got some great items to give away," Kopchak said. "So anything that people will donate will be appreciated, and it all goes to scholarships."

Last year the club gave 15 scholarships valued at $7,850. The Alumni Club will also accept donations if people want to donate but not participate in the raffle.
