Scholarships Available For 2019-2020 Academic Year

Scholarship Central

ZANESVILLE, Ohio – Scholarship Central with the Muskingum County Community Foundation is currently accepting applications for several scholarships for the 2019-2020 academic year.

Three scholarships, the Heck Educational Scholarship, Cale Scholarship, and Hennessey Educational Scholarship have the same criteria to apply. They are open to residents of Muskingum County who are attending the Mid-East Adult Center or a two or four year accredited college, technical school or university. The other scholarship being offered is the Kramer Scholarship with tighter criteria. It is open to students who reside in a Zanesville Metropolitan Housing Authority Property or a part of the Tenant Choice Housing Voucher Program.

“There are limited scholarships for current college students in comparison graduating high school seniors, so this is just a really great opportunity for them to be able to get that extra assistance as well,” said Manager for Educational Programs, Katie McCarty.

Students are encouraged to take advantage of the scholarships to assist them financially. Students are able to put the money towards books or tuition and can focus on their education without the stress of figuring out how to pay for those costs.

“We’re just here to try to help provide a little bit of assistance when it comes to those costs. This is free money that students don’t have to pay back. Scholarships are given to them to use for their educational costs, so they can do with it, whatever they need,” McCarty said.

The scholarships can be found on the Muskingum County Community Foundation’s website, www.mccf.org, and are due on July 19th.
