School Report Cards Released

State education officials Wednesday released data about how well public schools in Ohio performed in the 2010-2011 school year. The grade is based on the academic well-being of individual district, graduation and attendance rates and whether they are meeting certain federal measures. In our area here is how the report cards shaped up: Tri-Valley, West Muskingum and East Muskingum all earned an excellent rating. Maysville and Franklin Local Schools earned an effective rating and Zanesville City Schools earned a continuous improvement rating. If you want to find out how your school district fared in the latest ratings…you can go to the state school website….www.reportcard.ohio.gov.
