Second Annual Summer Pull fires up this weekend in Zanesville
ZANESVILLE, OH- Engines will roar and dirt will fly this weekend at the Muskingum County Fairgrounds, as the second annual Summer Pull event kicks off tomorrow.
Presented by AVDC, the weekend includes two nights of tractor and truck pulling competitions, food, drinks and fun for the whole family.
“It’s something fun to do for the weekend, it’s supposed to be a nice evening, just a great night out,” said Gail Deitrick Muskingum County Fairgrounds Board Member.
Friday’s “Summer Tug Pull” starts at 5 p.m., with general admission just $5 and kids 10 and under free. Competitions include six tractor weight classes, with payouts for the top four in each group. Alcohol and fair food will be available on site. Saturday’s “Summer Pull” starts at the same time, but with more horsepower. It features modified gas and diesel trucks, tractors, and semis. Admission is $10. Gates open at 1 p.m. and a truck show begins at 2. Weekend camping is available for $50.
“I just want as many people as possible to come out because I think this is something great for the community, there’s a lot of people who have put a lot into putting the show on and just come out and enjoy yourself,” said Rodney Crooks Muskingum County Fairgrounds Board Member.
Funds raised during the event help maintain and improve the fairgrounds. The Muskingum County Fair is set for August 10 through 16.
