Semi Accident on Interstate 70 West

An accident Thursday morning on Interstate 70 is causing a traffic slow down.

Around 2:25 am scanner traffic indicated a semi had rolled over on I-70 west near the Fieldhouse.

The right lane of I-70 west will be closed as the semi is towed and clean-up begins by the Ohio Department of Transportation.

Zanesville Police and Fire were first on the scene and said both subjects in the vehicle were able to get free and were transported to Genesis Hospital. The semi was reported to be out of California.

The State Patrol and Muskingum County Sheriff’s Office were also on the scene. We’ll bring you more as it becomes available.
