Sevall Street Fire Investigated

The Zanesville Fire Department was called to a fire Tuesday morning at 1038 Sevall Street. Chief Jeff Bell his crews responded to find a basement fire and the owner reporting a dog still inside the house. Firefighters went into heavy smoke and were able to rescue the dog and extinguish the fire in 15 minutes. A resident of the home was transported to Genesis Hospital for lacerations received breaking a window trying to get the dog out. No other injuries were reported. The cause of the fire remains under investigation.
