Sewer Grant Money

One Morgan County city is getting a $500,000 grant to help pay for a sewer project.

The federal funding, which is coming from the Water and Sanitary Sewer Program will allow McConnelsville to complete a project worth more than $1,000,000.

The Ohio Department of Development says the focus is to reline a portion of a sanitary sewer line and add about 5,000 feet of a storm sewer.

The project is expected to affect about 1,100 homes in the city.
