Shana Savage

Shana Savage

Shana Renee (Simpson) Savage, 54, of New Lexington, passed away peacefully and unexpectedly on February 24th at Genesis Healthcare in Zanesville. Born on July 14, 1971, in the heart of Kentucky, Shana’s vibrant spirit and loving nature left a mark on all who knew her. She was raised by her parents the late Elmer “Hot Rod” Rose and Shannon (Arnold) Simpson. Shana’s life was a tapestry of love and dedication, woven with the threads of her family. She was a devoted mother to her beloved children, Shaun (Amber), Cody (Paige), Brandon (Breighanna), Hunter (Taylor), Kadin, and Kaylin. Her numerous grandchildren, who were the light of her life, will carry forward her legacy of kindness and joy. Shana’s bond with her sister, Shanae Ramsey, and brother, Shawn Simpson, was unbreakable, and together they shared countless cherished moments. Her best friends, Amy Metcalf and Jody McNeeley, stood by her side through thick and thin, a testament to the kind of person Shana was. Johnny Savage, the father of her children, remained an important part of her journey, and together they navigated the waters of parenthood with grace and love for their children. Shana was a creative soul who found her calling in the world of custom retail creation. Her small business reflected her artistic talents, specializing in jewelry bath bombs, shirts, tumblers, and stickers that brought her customers coming back. Her entrepreneurial spirit was matched only by her unwavering commitment to her family, especially in sharing time and making memories with her grandchildren. Her interests were as varied as they were passionate. Shana recently discovered the art of crocheting, a hobby that allowed her to create warmth and beauty with her hands. She was an enthusiast of online slots and bingo, always ready for the thrill of the game. Traveling was another of Shana’s pleasures, with Tennessee holding a special place in her heart. Accompanied by her favorite travel buddy, Rue, she explored the country with a sense of adventure and wonder. Shana’s faithful fur companion, Betty, was a constant source of comfort and companionship, embodying the unconditional love that Shana herself so freely gave. She now joins her late parents, Elmer “Hot Rod” Rose and Shannon (Arnold) Simpson, in eternal rest. A Celebration of Life will be held Saturday March 7, 2026, beginning at 12:00pm at the Crooksville American Legion, 200 N. Buckeye Street, Crooksville.
