Shane Rieder

Shane C. Rieder, 48, of Zanesville, began his next journey on August 22, 2024, at 11:52 a.m. following a long battle with Liver Disease. Shane was born on August 12, 1976, on his grandpa Duvalls birthday. He was the son of Albert and Karen Rieder. Shane is preceded in death by his father, Albert C. Rieder; grandparents, Laura Starkey and Claude Duvall, Wavelene and Fred VanDyne, Albert Rieder Jr.; uncle, Keith VanDyne.

Shane leaves behind his mother, Karen Rieder; daughters, Miranda (William) Rieder, Megan Hye and Morgan (Richard) Patterson; sons, Joe and Christian Rieder; grandchildren, Anna, Jaxson, Amari and DaShawn; sister, Shala Rieder; brother, Shannon Rieder; the mother of his children, Brenda Goldsmith; two aunts and two uncles; eight nephews as well as a host of the best friends he could ever ask for.

Shane loved to go fishing, golfing and play the lottery. He enjoyed watching football and was an avid Miami Dolphins fan. In the last 6 years he has spent his time being the best papaw ever! Shane will be missed by all that knew him.

You may call on the family on Friday, August 30, 2024, from 10 a.m. until 11 a.m. at Burrell Funeral Services in Zanesville. Following calling, memorial service will start at 11 a.m. Per Shane’s wishes, cremation has been chosen. BURRELL FUNERAL SERVICES is serving the family.
