Sheriff Says Speed Possible Factor in Fatal Crash

Muskingum County Sheriff Matt Lutz released more details Monday on a fatal motorcycle accident Sunday night on Frazeysburg Road near Fulton Lane.

The Sheriff said 27-year-old Jayjuan Sherrell was killed in the accident. A passenger, 19-year-old Mariah Swingle was taken to Genesis Good Samaritan Hospital, and remains in very critical condition.

Sheriff Lutz said excessive speed is believed to have been a contributing factor in the accident, which happened around 8 p.m.
