The sweetest, most giving, kind hearted woman we know was taken from us. You already are and always will be missed. We love you and will celebrate your favorite holiday in your memory.
Shirley Ann Stoneburner passed away peacefully at home on December 12. She was born on July 4, 1933 to the late Alfred L. and Amanda M. Durant. Shirley married Charles “Glenn†Stoneburner on October 27, 1951 and presented him with three loving children; Deborah (Gary) Snack, Becky (Mike) Feldner and Charles Jr. (Susan) Stoneburner. She also leaves behind 9 grandchildren, Adam (Anita) Snack, Rebecca (Mike) Adams, Amanda King, Tommy Snack, Bryan Feldner, Melissa Feldner, Trey Stoneburner, Alexis Stoneburner and Carley Stoneburner; 13 great grandchildren; 3 siblings Betty (Martin) Schneider of Zanesville, Gary (Eleanor) Durant of Florida and Mary (Larry) Van Allen of Nashport. Shirley is also survived by 9 nieces and nephews, many friends and the children who called her “Grandma†at Richey and Dillon Schools from where she retired as head cook.
Shirley was preceded in death by her parents, her sister Nancy Bales and her brother Alfred L. Durant Jr.
Friends may call from 2-4 and 6-8 on Thursday December 15 at THE SNOUFFER FUNERAL HOME 1150 W. MILITARY RD. ZANESVILLE where services will be held on Friday December 16 at 2pm with Father Martin Ralko officiating. A caring cremation will take place as per Shirley’s wishes. Private inurnment services will be held at a later date in St. Paul’s Cemetery. Memorial contributions may be made to St. Judes Childrens Hospital P.O. Box 1893 Memphis, TN 38101-9950or to the Muskingum County Animal Shelter 1431 Serenity Lane Zanesville, OH 43701as she loved children and animals so much.
