Shirley Sands

Shirley Sands, 85, of Roseville, passed away on Tue. June 2, 2026 at Genesis Hospital. She was born on August 13, 1940, in Zanesville, a daughter of the late Frank and Elizabeth (Barr) Moore. She was a loving wife, mother, and grandmother. She was a longtime member of Mount Perry Presbyterian Church and more recently a member of Uniontown Baptist Church. She is survived by her husband of 70 years Walter Sands. Four children Cathy (Charlie) Harkness, Barb Wigal, Bill (Sherry) Sands, and Bruce (Stephanie) Sands. Ten grandchildren Allen Harkness, Chris Harkness, Amber Carrington, Nate Wigal, Doug Sands, Melissa Moberly, Matt Sands, Katie Sellars, Ryan Sands, and Kari Tabler. 19 great-grandchildren. One brother Everett (Mary) Moore. Friends may call from 5:00 – 8:00 p.m. Fri. June 5, 2026 at William Thompson & Son Funeral Home 5765 Gladstone Drive White Cottage. Funeral service will be held at 11:00 a.m. Saturday June 6, 2026 at Uniontown Baptist Church in Fultonham where friends may call from 10:00 until 11:00 a.m. Pastor Chris Harkness officiating. Burial will be in Fultonham Cemetery.
