Shirley Veyon

Shirley E. Veyon, 90, of Zanesville, died Wednesday, February 25, 2026, at The Oaks at Bethesda. She was born September 14, 1935, in Haydenville, Ohio, a daughter of the late Wayne and Ocie (George) Farley. She worked many years at the Harts Department Store and cherished her time as a mother and homemaker. She was a member of the Order of the Eastern Star and Homemakers Club, and in her later years of life she was active in the Hopewell Free Methodist Church.
Shirley is survived by her daughters, Kimberly Gorsuch (Marc) Thomas and Robin (Buck) Buchanan; grandchildren Michelle (Mike) Sensabaugh, Michael Veyon, Derek (Sara) Gorsuch, Abbey (Joe) Weaver, Libby Buchanan, Sara (Ryan) Robinson, Tim (Trish) Loomis and Jason (Misty) Loomis; eleven great grandchildren; and a brother-in-law Marvin Veyon.
In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her husband Donald E. Veyon; daughter Amy Loomis Dingey; son Jeff Veyon; and step father Richard Spung.
Friends and family may call from 12:30-1:30 pm on Wednesday, March 4, 2026, at the BOLIN-DIERKES FUNERAL HOME & CREMATORY, 1271 BLUE AVENUE, ZANESVILLE. A graveside service will follow at Wesley Union Cemetery, White Cottage, with Pastor Paul Bugglin officiating.
