Shoppers Hit Sears On Turkey Day
One local department store unlocked their doors one day before Black Friday.
For the first time ever, Sears opened their doors on Thanksgiving Day at 7am to attract some early shoppers looking to catch some good deals.
"This is our first time. We open at 7am, had no idea what to expect. We had a crowd of people at the door. People went first to electronics then they went to jewelry. We had some great specials in fine jewelry and electronics so it’s really been a phenomenal day," says Assistant Store Manager for softlines Ann Anderson.
Despite the rainy weather, Anderson says she was impressed by this mornings turn out; more than sixty people waited in line to take advantage of the sales.
"That was more than what we expected to start the Thanksgiving Day sale. "
Sears will open bright and early tomorrow at 4am with over 500 doorbuster deals.
