Shrivers Pharmacy now supporting local

ZANESVILLE, Ohio- Buying local has now made its way to Zanesville.

Shrivers Pharmacies will now be featuring their “Close to Home Marketplace” program that will offer locally produced and sourced products.

Jessica Sabine, Shrivers Pharmacy Chief Marketing Officer, said the program will impact the local economy in a beneficial way.

“We’re super excited about it and we think our customers will be too, because when you buy local the money stays here in the community,” said Sabine. “It can help us create more jobs, create more opportunities for the folks in our community and were really excited about that.”

These products not only sustain small businesses and entrepreneurs, but can also act as an alternative pharmaceutical solution.

“We actually are finding some local companies that have products that have some therapeutic properties that sometimes work well with medications,” said Sabine. “Or if you’re someone who doesn’t like to take medicine, or maybe just a medication doesn’t work for you.”

Through this initiative, Shrivers Pharmacy has become a member of the Ohio Proud Affiliate, endorsed by the Ohio Department of Agriculture. This endorsement recognizes and ensures that products are grown in Ohio.
