Siegrest Orchards offers specials on flowers at Farmer’s Market

ZANESVILLE, Ohio — One Farmer’s Market vendor has been in business for over 75 years, and is now a third-generation family owned company.

Siegrist Orchards was started in 1930 and has been participating in the Farmer’s Market since it’s inception. They say customers are particularly interested in flowers at this time of year, so in return they run specials on their more popular items.

“Right now we have our flowers and vegetable plants from our green house. We have hanging baskets, and we have some eggs and radishes also. We usually do specials on our baskets at the markets– right now we’re selling two for $20 or one for $12, ” explained Jim Siegrist of Siegrist Orchards.

In addition to the flowers and vegetables currently offered, Siegrist will also be offering a wide variety of fruits as they come into season.

“Later on we’ll have our fruit; peaches– we have a good peach crop this year, we’ll have apples, plums. We have our own garden so we’ll grow vegetables too so we’ll have all of that. We’ve got more, different varieties of flowers and vegetables at our green house than what we bring here,” added Siegrist.
