Single Car Accident on I-70 East Bound

 
The State Highway Patrol responded to a single car accident on I-70 East Bound, mile marker 152,  at 5:28 p.m. Tuesday, November 18th.

According to officials, 62-year-old Joy A. Coder of Blue Rock was driving a 2007 Nissan Versa and seemingly lost control of her vehicle, ran off the right side of the road and into a tree. The State Highway Patrol and Falls Township Fire Department were both called to the scene. Coder was the only person in the vehicle and was transported to Good Samaritan Hospital as per protocol.

According to Sgt. Melanie Appleman of the State Highway Patrol, open beer cans were found in the vehicle. Coder was charged with operating a vehicle under the influence.  It’s her second offense in six years and third offense lifetime.  She was also charged with failure to control.
