Singspiration to Honor an Inspiration

To honor the memory and inspiration of Dr. Martin Luther King Jr. a crowd of over 150 took part in the 19th annual Singspiration at the John McIntire Library in Zanesville.

For this year’s event the choir of city-wide singspiration sang 3 spirituals. Following the songs, Zanesville native David Walter Chandler II spoke about the guidance King had on his life and why this day is important to celebrate.

"We need to walk in our destiny and see that is what Martin Luther King did and he did that and a lot of great things happened for a lot of people" said Chandler II.

Walter feels this day brings people together and he was happy to be back in Zanesville to speak about the man who inspired so many people across the country.
