Sobriety Checkpoint Friday Night

The Ohio State Highway Patrol announced they’ll host a sobriety checkpoint Friday night in Guernsey County.
The checkpoint will take place between 8PM-12AM on State Route 209 near milepost 12.
The OVI checkpoint is funded by federal grant dollars and is planned to deter and intercept impaired drivers.
The checkpoint will be held in conjunction with nearby saturation patrols to aggressively combat alcohol related injury and fatal crashes.
The patrol urges motorists if they are consuming alcohol to designate a driver or make other travel plans before they drink.
