South Zanesville Fire Department Car Giveaway

ZANESVILLE, OH – The South Zanesville Fire Department held their 3rd Car Raffle of the year on Monday.
Chief of the Fire Department, Russ Taylor, says they sold 2,000 tickets and the lucky winner, chosen by Sheriff Matt Lutz, was Bryan Whitlock from Oklahoma.
The car is a 2025 Honda Accord from Zanesville Honda but the winner also has the option to take $25,000 in cash.
Chief Taylor says it’s an incredible feeling to know they’re helping to changes lives, even over the many state lines.
“It’s amazing that we have people that far following us. We have people from California, New York, Florida, New England, all of the United States are following us right now.” Taylor said. “It’s a joy to our hearts, we enjoy helping the community and this is one way we can help make the community’s dreams come true.”
Taylor says all of the proceeds from these Car Raffles goes right back into the Department to help pay for their Easter Egg Hunt and Christmas time goodies for the Parade
“It helps a person, this guy bought one ticket and won a $30,000 vehicle, off that little bit of money.” Taylor said. “It also helps us support other things that we’re doing here at the Fire Department in the community along with the kids. Easter is coming up, our Christmas Candy, it’s just a big help in sponsorships for us.”
The South Zanesville Fire Department will be getting ready for another raffle soon. To stay up to date and get your tickets, you can head to their Facebook page.
