Southeast Ohio Symphony Orchestra gearing up for 45th season

ZANESVILLE, Ohio – The Southeast Ohio Symphony Orchestra is getting ready to kick-off it’s 45th season.

Conductor Laura Schumann said they are excited for their opening concert and for the season ahead. She says they will be joined by a special guest group called Cello Fury.

“Its a group of three cello players and they play real, regular cellos, but its rock music with a drummer and they do their own originals and it’s really really cool music,” said Schumann.

Schumann said the music that will be performed at the concert Sunday has all been specially arranged for the Southeast Ohio Symphony Orchestra and promises a great concert.

“So these are brand new arrangements that they have written for us to be able to play with them,” said Schumann. “So The Cello Fury with the Southeast Ohio Symphony Orchestra, again, not something you see every day.”

The concert will be Sunday at 7 p.m. in the Brown Chapel at Muskingum University. Schumann said tickets are still available online or at the door. She said the best place to park for the concert will be in the large lot off of Comin Street.
