Southeastern Med and Ohio Health Enter Management Agreement

Ohio Health Corporation has announced that it has entered in an agreement with Southeastern Ohio Regional Medical Center in Cambridge.
Guernsey Health Systems announced the five-year management agreement with OhioHealth Corporation to provide leadership and daily management for Southeastern Med beginning Oct. 10.
On its website Ohio Health stated “through the agreement, OhioHealth will provide management oversight for the hospital and three senior leadership positions, while Southeastern Med will remain fully independent. The Guernsey Health Systems and the Southeastern Med boards will retain fiduciary responsibility and decision making authority for the hospital.”
“Today’s announcement further strengthens our partnership with OhioHealth and ensures that Southeastern Med will continue to keep more care local both now and in the future,” said Ray Chorey, Southeastern Med president and CEO. “The management agreement will bring further stability and financial strength to our hospital at a time of disruption and change in the health care industry,” said Chorey.
The website adds “OhioHealth and Southeastern Ohio Regional Medical Center have worked closely in recent years to bring new physicians and services to the community in a shared commitment to keep advanced health care services in Cambridge.”
