Space Says Made Right Decision

President Barack Obama is anxiously awaiting the healthcare bill to reach his desk. The House of Representatives approved its passage late last night, by a vote of 219-212, and one of those opposing the bill was our 18th District US Congressman, Zack Space.

"I really felt on the whole that a significant majority of my constituents did not like this bill. If you combine that with the process and subsidence, I think or the both lacking, I did what I thought was right, " says Space.

Space says he felt political pressure on which way he was going to vote.

"The pressure was enormous. The President, this is very, very important to him and very important to the leadership in my party. Will it affect my ability to ask for favors, perhaps, " says Space.

However, Space says he hopes the district would get recognized based on the needs of his people and not favors to other politicians.
