Spiedie King Food Truck Is Open for Business

ZANESVILLE, Ohio-Â There is a new truck in town. A food truck, that is right on the corner of 5th Street next to the Court House.
The aroma of New York style food surrounds 5th Street and draws customers to the Spiedie King food truck which has been serving the community for 2 weeks now. Kevin and Paula Coveney own the truck and their son Michael is the cook.
“The time just seemed right. This is my best opportunity at foot traffic. In some instances I’m even closer to people’s cars. It’s still really cold in the early morning. We have hot breakfast sandwiches. I think once that catches on and people can count on that. I’ll be able to move those,” said Michael Coveney.
The prices are reasonable, and the truck offers something for everyone.
“We specialize in a marinated chicken called chicken speidie. It’s just something we grew up eating. And whenever we made it for people around here they just love them. We also offer a vegetarian dish,” said Coveney.
The Spiedie King food truck will be on 5th Street Monday through Friday serving hot breakfasts and lunches.
