Spreading Holiday Cheer at the Oaks at Northpointe
Santa Claus made an early stop at the Oaks at Northpointe Nursing Home to spread some holiday cheer.
Members from the Zanesville Noon Rotary Club and employees from Economy Linen joined forces and organized gift bags for each and every resident. They also brought along Santa to help deliver the gifts.
“It really has a special meaning for me. My father lived in a facility for two years before he passed and I saw a lot of residents that didn’t get visited maybe like they should have. So to bring this in the residents, it really has some meaning for me on a personal level,” said Jim Buchbinder.
This is their fourth year they’ve hosting the event. Buchbinder said it puts everyone in the Christmas spirit.
“Even though I have five children and we have great Christmas mornings, I never feel more like Christmas then when I come here because, what we do is not expected. It’s a surprise and it really makes your feel good to do it. Anyone that came here this morning will tell you, they are here because, they want to be here, and it makes them feel good and it puts them in the Christmas spirit,” said Buchbinder.
