Spring Bazaar and Flea Market
Interviewed by WHIZ reporter Gabe Hutton

The Muskingum County Fairgrounds hosted its Spring Bazaar and Flea Market Saturday at the Veterans Complex, bringing together dozens of local vendors and shoppers for a day centered on handmade goods and community support.
More than 30 vendors set up booths at the event, offering a wide variety of unique items. Each vendor featured different products, giving attendees the opportunity to browse everything from homemade food to decorations and other handcrafted goods in one location.
Jerry Miller, president of the Muskingum County Agricultural Society, said the event provides a valuable space for local creators to showcase and sell their work.
“It just gives them a place that they can all come and present their products and different things that they’ve made in handmade products to buy the products that they can sell to different people,” Miller said. “It’s just general public someplace where they can see 30 or 40 or 50 vendors from one place and get to choose what they want from homemade food to homemade decorations and products.”
Proceeds from the event benefit the Muskingum County Agricultural Society, making the bazaar not only a shopping destination but also a fundraiser that supports the local fairgrounds and its programming.
“It’s actually a fundraiser for the Agricultural Society,” Miller said. “We have the spring one and we also have a Christmas bazaar in December. So it’s a fundraiser for the society, plus also allows the vendors to have some place and a nice facilitator to come present their products.”
Organizers say the Spring Bazaar is one of multiple seasonal events aimed at supporting both local vendors and the broader community. Those interested in future events can find more information on the Muskingum County Fairgrounds websiteSpring
