Spring Farmers Market right around the corner

ZANESVILLE, Ohio – There might be snow outside now, but Spring will be here soon.

The arrival of Spring will also bring with it the opening of the Zanesville Farmers Market. Board member Jessica Stonecypher said after the success of the Fall Farmers Market, they have decided to hold their first Spring Farmers Market. She said farmers often have products for customers no matter what time of year it is.

“So there’s product available and the customers, they’re ready as well, they want to buy,” said Stonecypher. “So we’ve just been trying to meet that need as a market.”

Stonecypher said the first Spring market will be held at Weasel Boy on March 9th from 11 a.m. to 2 p.m. She said a lot of the vendors are looking forward to seeing their customers again.

“We’re excited to see our customers again,” said Stonecypher. “We met a lot of great folks and we’re just excited to connect again and get to see people and meet new people as well.”

Stonecypher said they are still accepting applications for vendors, but that spots are filling up quickly. She said any vendor interested can fill out the application online.
