Spring Forward, Fall Back
ZANESVILLE, Ohio — Spring is approaching and it’s time to adjust those clocks to spring forward.
We spoke with community members this afternoon to see if they had any tips or suggestions to help others remember when exactly it’s time to make that time change. While some rely on technology, others have to rely on sleepless nights.
“The best you thing you can do is Google is your best friend normally. They’ve got a big thing that comes up with the time change, or you can just ask your family or something like that,” said Tristan Pace.” I’m up at 2AM, 4AM, 6AM, 8AM, so I’m up all night anyway– looking at the clock all night so I don’t forget,” added Ben Pace.
Now even if you remember it’s time to adjust your clock, often times its hard to remember whether to go forward or backward.
“You know, Google is your best friend for that too, you know? That’s normally the best thing to do there,” Tristan added.
Another community member prefers to look at the clock adjustment in a metaphorical manner. “I like going forward, to me it just feels a whole lot better. You don’t like to think about living in the past,” said Blake Morris.
“Spring forward, fall back,” said Ben, who uses the most common phrase to help him remember which way to set the clocks.
The time change officially takes place at 2AM Sunday morning and the best way to remember the appropriate way to adjust your clock is, as Ben put it, “spring forward, fall back.”
