ZANESVILLE, OH – Spring is right around the corner, and so it a chance for local organizations to grow their impact.

The Muskingum County Community Foundation is opening up its Spring Grant Competition beginning on March 17th. This year’s grant competition will include a variety of funding opportunities, supporting different types of projects and programs across the community.

“I am super excited to announce that our Spring Grant Competition is going to include all different types of funding. From programming, capital expenses, to operational and capacity building. This is a huge new step in the right direction, I think. We’ve also increased the amount available for nonprofits. They can request up to $10,000.” MCCF Program Director, Dr. Beth Fox said.

Applicants have until April 10th to submit their proposals. After the wide range of proposals are considered, the winners will be announced during the first or second week of May.

“I’m thrilled about the amount of support. If you know our community, then you know how strong Muskingum County is on relationships. We truly have neighbors who care for neighbors. To be able to provide this competition as a way to give back and not only acknowledge what they’re doing, but to help them be able to do the actual work. That’s the full circle.” Fox said.
