Starlight Industries Renovation: A Brief Update

Starlight Industries is planning to begin a small renovation project at its Zane Street building.

Superintendent John Hill met with the Muskingum County Commissioners today to give a brief update on their renovation plans. Hill says this is a great cold weather project and explains that they have received bids.

"We received bids, the lowest apparent bid is $50,450 and so we’re pleased with that and we probably will proceed immediately."

Hill hopes to begin construction next week. The renovation will consist of knocking down the walls in one of their storage area’s in order to make more space for their employees.

"We have a storage area and we’re carving out four offices and a meeting room. We have immediate need for another meeting room and two offices, the other two offices will be used for future expansion."

The renovation should not take more than three months and is expected to be finished by the end of January.
