State Route 93 Reopens

Muskingum Co.- State Route 93 in Avondale is now open after the roadway closed Sunday afternoon.

Muskingum County Emergency Management Agency Director Jeff Jadwin said that State Route 93 was closed because of storm damage that caused some power poles to lean.

Strong storms moved through the southern part of Muskingum County with winds reportedly gusting up to 80mph.

Photos from the Roseville Fire Department in a Facebook post showed some damage. They said that crews that were at the fire department waiting on the storm had to respond to their own homes to check on loved ones and property.

Jadwin also said they had reports of damage near Ironspot and Blue Rock.
