Stephen E. Ernst

Stephen E. “Ernie” Ernst, 68 passed away Monday, November 23, 2020. He was born September 12, 1952 in Warsaw, NY to the late Rev. Robert E. and Gladys Cagwin Ernst. He retired in 2017 from the sales department at Goss Supply and attended Westwood Baptist Church. Stephen loved working in his yard, was an OSU fan but his favorite pastime was watching his grandson play for Jackson Storm Baseball. Over the years, he enjoyed playing softball, darts, bowling, golf and was a stamp collector.

Surviving is his wife Teresa Gothard Ernst; two sons: Brady (Stefanie) Ernst of Jackson, OH and Brandon Ernst of Zanesville; step son Corey (Rayneisha) Doak of Louisville, KY; grandchildren: Noah Ernst, Amelia Doak and Evelynn Doak; two brothers: John (Lynne) Ernst and Charles (Anne) Ernst; a sister Esther (Jack) Goodall and several nieces and nephews.

Visitation will be held from 10 to 11AM Saturday, March 20, 2021, at Westwood Baptist Church, 2395 East Pike, Zanesville, where the memorial service will begin at 11AM with Pastor Mark Ballmer officiating.
