Structure Fire on 254 Gray Street

 At approximately 7:44 p.m. on Monday Zanesville Fire Department received a call on a structure fire on 254 Gray Street.

Chief Waltemire said upon arrival there was heavy smoke coming through the front door of the house.  He said the fire was contained within about 15 minutes of arriving.  The home was occupied and the homeowner was not injured in the fire.  The cause and origin of the fire is still currently under investigation.  Zanesville Fire Department and community ambulance were the first responders to the scene.
