Student Pleads Not Guilty in School Knife Case

The Muskingum County Prosecutor’s Office says an 18-year-old student appeared in Common Pleas Court in connection with bringing 12 knives to Philo High School. Cody Murphy entered a plea of not guilty to a bill of information on illegal conveyance of a deadly weapon or dangerous ordinance in a school safety zone. Judge Kelly Cottrill set his bond at $50,000. On February 26th Murphy is accused of bringing 12 knives to school, but the knives remained in the student’s vehicle in the school parking lot.
