Sue Phillips

Carolyn “Sue” Phillips, 70, of Zanesville, passed away peacefully on Tuesday, April 9, 2024, at her home under the care of Genesis Hospice. Sue was born November 29, 1953, to the late George Richard and Wanda Jean (Gatten) Addis. She was a member of the OES Chapter 485 and Trinity Evangelical Lutheran Church. During her working years, Sue was employed by the Muskingum County Sheriff’s Office, Midland Title Security, Inc. and North Valley Bank. She loved spending time with her family, was an avid reader and enjoyed cheering on the Cleveland Browns and The Ohio State Buckeyes.

Sue is survived by her loving husband of 33 years, Jimmie Phillips; two daughters, Stacy (Chad) Vaughn of Blue Rock and Melissa (Greg) Vaughn of Zanesville; one stepdaughter Chancie (Trever Milhon) Phillips of Pataskala; one stepson Chase Phillips of Zanesville; grandchildren, Phillip, Vincent, Brady, Averee, Jadyn, Josie Vaughn, and Aressana Milhon; and two brothers-in-law, Dale (Roxann) Phillips of Zanesville and Cotton (Katie) Phillips of Lakewood

In addition to her parents, Sue, was preceded in death by her father-and-mother-in-law, Dean and Nan Phillips; and a sister Louella Albaugh.

A Memorial Service will be held at a later date. Arrangements were entrusted to the BOLIN-DIERKES FUNERAL HOME & CREMATORY, 1271 BLUE AVENUE, ZANESVILLE.
