“Father, I come to you in Jesus’ name. I lift up my family to You in this time of loss. You know every detail of my grandmother’s life and every moment of her journey, and I trust Your wisdom and mercy. I pray that before her death she accepted Your salvation and her name was written in the Lamb’s Book of Life. God, I ask that you surround her children and our whole family with peace and comfort. Her children and siblings need peace that surpasses all understanding and comfort that settles their hearts even when they don’t have all the answers. Fill every place of grief and weakness and bring unity where there is pain. Holy Spirit, breathe peace into our spirits. Help us rest in the truth that You are good, You are just, and You are near to the brokenhearted. Lord, I place everything we cannot understand into Your hands and trust Your will above our own. Cover my family with Your presence and let Your love heal every wound in our bloodline. I pray all of this in Jesus’ name.
Amen.” – prayer by Brittany Waltermire
