Suspect in Custody in Perry County Shooting

Perry County Sheriff William Barker says a man is in custody in connection with a Monday shooting.  Barker says it happened at 8845 North Main Street in Hemlock.  At around 12:30 p.m. deputies responded to a reported shooting and found a 53-year-old male with a gunshot wound.  The victim, who was not identified, was taken to Grant Medical Center in Columbus and is listed in stable condition.  A male suspect, who was not identified, was taken into custody at the scene.  His name will be released once formal charges are filed.   Anyone with information on the incident is asked to call the Perry County Sheriff’s Office.
